One of my favorite media educators and researchers is Renee Hobbs of the Media Education Lab at Temple University (among other ventures). Her Powerful Voices for Kids project is a Philadelphia school-university partnership that strengthens children’s abilities to think for themselves, communicate effectively using technology and to use their “powerful voices” to contribute to the quality of life in their families.
